The dedicated parents work tirelessly throughout the day to feed their voracious offspring. With the worst gypsy moth invasion in Southern New England since the 1980's, these eastern bluebirds don't have to travel far to locate food for their second brood of the season. This video condenses about 18 minutes of foraging into a minute and a half. The parents don't limit their diet to moths though. They provide a natural form of pest control and have been spotted with spiders, worms, grasshoppers and more.
