Middle Reservoir in Killingly, Connecticut, offers a rich blend of wetland, woodland, and open-water habitats. Its shoreline plants, marshy edges, and surrounding forest support a wide variety of birds, fish, amphibians, turtles, small mammals, and other Connecticut wildlife, making it a peaceful local place to observe seasonal movement and breeding activity. This local gem never disappoints, and spring and summer 2026 have been especially rewarding. The following photo slideshow features a sampling of birds observed from March through July 2026.
