The Little Brook - November, 2015
It was an exceptional week for the little brook trail cam with coyotes, turkeys and a good sized buck. This is the first week in months that the captures haven't been dominated by squirrels and raccoons. The coyotes typically travel in pairs and it appears that one individual triggered the camera capturing the second as it jumped the brook. The coyote capture was brief with the animal spotting the camera almost immediately and dashing off in fear. The turkeys, on the other hand, appear unaware of the camera. Deer are known to be well acquainted with their surroundings and often locate the camera straightaway. This particular buck does not approach but can clearly be seen sniffing the air with caution.
