The Five Mile River run from Thompson to Killingly Connecticut never disappoints with a variety of wildlife and birds for your viewing and listening pleasure.  This day offered an assortment of red-winged blackbirds, catbirds, doves, great blue heron and more.  Signs of beaver were everywhere but the beavers did not make an appearance.  A series of small beaver dams presented only a slight challenge with a few new twists and turns due to recent construction.
