Today brought the first Indigo Bunting and Scarlet Tanager sighting of the season. While other backyard birds have been nesting for a few weeks, the new arrivals are just getting started. Mourning Doves and Phoebe eggs are ready to hatch any day and the resident Bluebird couple is already feeding their first brood. I'm hoping to see the little fledglings soon and anticipate a second brood if all goes well. This week's photos include a nesting Dove, a joyful Yellow Warbler and an American Redstart.
