QUIET CORNER, CT - PHOTOS - Four little eggs have successfully hatched and my little Catbird family is rapidly growing. With the nest just feet from my office window and a perfect landing area nearby, I've had a front row seat to the non-stop smorgasbord and have been documenting the various food items including berries. There is no end to the parents' dedication to their chicks with a new delight arriving every few minutes. The only break was when a thundershower rolled through, at which point one of the parents went to the nest and shielded the chicks from the downpour. As soon as the rain let up the feeding continued only this time newly surfaced earthworms were on the menu.
